Frequently asked questions

These ranges are what new systems run across DFW in 2026. Where you land depends on the equipment you pick, your current ductwork, line set, electrical, attic access and permits. Your in-home visit turns the range into a firm price you approve before any work starts.
It gets you in the neighborhood, nothing more. Insulation, windows, ceiling height, which way the house faces and duct condition all change the answer. A heat evaluation settles it, and it's the difference between a system that runs well for years and one that short cycles and never pulls the humidity out.
Yes. We work with Wisetack (up to $25,000, 3 to 60 months), Wells Fargo (no interest if paid in full within 18 months on purchases of $2,000 or more) and GreenSky (plans including 10.99% fixed for 180 months, 0% for 6 months then 9.99% for 120 months, and no-interest-if-paid-in-full plans of 6, 12 or 15 months). All financing is subject to credit approval and terms vary. See current rates on our financing page.
Not always. Leaky or undersized ducts put a ceiling on what any new system can do, so we check them during your visit. If your house has never cooled evenly, ductwork is usually why. Any duct work is priced separately so you can decide.
Your indoor coil, furnace or air handler, and outdoor unit are designed to work as one system. AHRI certification verifies that combination's efficiency. Replacing only the outdoor unit can save money up front, but you may not get the efficiency it was rated for.
Repair usually makes sense under about 10 years, under warranty, and on a first major failure. Replacement usually makes sense past 12 to 15 years, out of warranty, after repairs in back-to-back summers, or on an R-22 system where parts are getting scarce.
Permit requirements change city to city across the Metroplex. We'll tell you exactly what's included in your quote during your visit.
